Learning to Love and Work Together to Serve the Biblical G-d of Israel

  • The G-d of Israel is He who took Israel out of Egypt. We refer to Him as Hashem (G-d) which means “The Name” in Hebrew to ensure that we never utter His name in vain (Exodus 20:2-6).

  •  Biblical here refers to the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) that all major religions commonly accept and revere as His Word.

  •  Together emphasizes that the prophesied new covenant with Hashem (G-d) (Jeremiah 31) must be achieved together as the family of Abraham, honoring our common father" (Gen 12:3, Amos 3:2)

  •  Learning to Love Him together reflects His calling to love Him (Deut. 6:5) and each other (Lev 19:18, Deut. 10:19) with no self-interest at all – for all of us are uniquely created in His image (Gen. 9:6).

  •  Learning to Serve Hashem (G-d) together – is His expressed will and vision that we serve Him together (Isaiah 56:1-8), pleasantly and peacefully (Proverbs 3:17), as a family.
